I moved to the Pacific Northwest about twenty years ago and was shocked when I went to work on the first snowy day and no one was there. Our world here comes to a halt when it snows. Partly because no one is used to snow and partly because there are barely any plows, salt or sand for the roads when it is snowy and freezing. This winter we had 20" of snow in our yard and of course it took 3 weeks for the plow to make it down our main road. All this snow inspired me to finish this drawing that ironically I started over the summer, then went on to draw more summery things. The second companion piece is dedicated to all the mittens that disappeared this winter. I hope the animals are toasty with them:)
I'm busy working on my blog posts. Watch this space!
