I love animals and my family loves animals, so we have a lot:) Not only are they great company, cute, and cuddly, but they make really good models for my art. Here are a couple sketches of Cook and Rey.
I teach at least one student just about every day, which I absolutly love. There are a lot of reasons, but one is that I get to have a break from my usual style to do something out of my norm. It refreshes my creative juices and keeps me excited about what ever book I'm working on at the moment. Here is a lighthouse I did during a drawing class I taught. I had the wonderful honor last week to have a protrait commission. He came to me with a request for me to paint a portrait for his special someone for Woman's Day! I had no idea there was a Woman's Day in England, but what a geat holiday!:) The photograph was significant so he wanted it to stay at an angle and the building should stay, but he wanted me to add lilys and give them more full heads.
